Jefferson, Willamette Valley wine region, Cristom Vineyards 2021 is a pretty Pinot Noir perfumed with ripe cherry, raspberry, smooth and elegant on the palate with cherry, dark raspberry, blueberry, baking spices, cold black tea, savoury herbs, elegant with a minerally finish. Tannins are fine. Over 40% of the grapes were whole-cluster pressed. Good now, better in 2024 as it continues to evolve in bottle. Pinot Noir food pairings: duck confit, coq au vin, beef bourguignon.
