Caymus-Suisun Grand Durif 2020, Suisun Valley, California, United States: From Suisun Valley, California, Caymus-Suisun Grand 2020 Durif is produced by the Wagner Family of Wines. Crafted from Petite Sirah, a broody wine that is deep violet in the glass but fragrant with blue florals, strawberry jam, dark chocolate, and toasty oak spice flavours supple and soft on the palate. Tannins are dusty. Enjoy it with braised lamb shanks in a red wine sauce. The Wagner family have been sourcing grapes from the Suisun Valley as early as 1982 when the area officially became an AVA.
