Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Nose offers blackcurrant, dried cherry, kirsch, fig, vanilla, tobacco, and oak notes. Big and broad palate with intense and tight tannins, good acidity, and a generous body of 14.2% ABV. Ripe cherry, baking spices, dried currant, and subtle oak flavours persist through the long finish. 18 months in a combination of French and American oak. Decant and serve with grilled lamb, braised beef, veal, venison, zesty red sauces, or dark chocolate now, or allow to evolve and develop through 2025 with careful cellaring.
From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, The Foreign Affair 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a big, hefty appassimento-style red with intense black plum, dried fruit, minty, earthy fresh mushroom, cigar box and vanilla flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm, structured. A good cellaring candidate for two years or more. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
