Superb value for the money! Full-bodied, rich and redolent of fleshy blackberry, black plum and pepper. Layered and textured like liquid velvet. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: red meats, ripe cheeses, meat sauce pasta dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Chilean Cab Sauv is as plentiful as it is affordable. There's always a lovely wild herbaceousness that makes it fun to pair food with. One of my favourites is BBQ stuffed peppers - either bells filled with what you like, or even hotter kinds stuffed with cheese.
Pretty ruby red, but quite dark at the centre.
Racy red fruit on the aromas. Currant, red plum, bay leaves, tomato plant, and smoke.
Pleasantly fruity palate, with lots of acidity. Decent oaking to it. Lots of currant, blackberry, dill, and some other wild herbs.
This wine would also pair well with a maduro cigar.
