A floral, zesty Niagara Gewurztraminer with attractive aromas of white peach, baking spice and lychee on the palate. Very Alsatian in style and elegance. Finishes with rosewater notes. Pair with Asian dishes.

Gewürztraminer food pairings: baked ham, panko crusted chicken, light flavoured seafood dishes, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Behold the beauty of extended maceration! Reif leave their Gewürz on its skins for an extended period of time to give it a zesty flavour/fragrance that contrasts the opulent mouthfeel.
The colour is a gold concentrated near the centre.
Aromas of baked apple, buckwheat, honey, fuji apple, nectarine, geranium, powdered sugar and tangerine. It's an aromatic feast.
Dry and absolutely easy to appreciate. The flavours still revolve around stone fruit, pear, ginger, and green fig.
Gewürz makes a great food wine for sushi (eel and tuna especially), kettlecorn, or smile barbecue chicken.
The Gewurztraminer grapes for this Ontario white wine grow in the Niagara River appellation which is nestled along the river on east-facing slopes with ideal sun exposure early in the day for slow ripening rather than hotter afternoon sun. The fast flowing river creates convectional currents that push cool air down on the vines for additional slow and complex ripening. - Community Wine Reviews
