A full-bodied 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah red wine blend sourced from old vines 40-plus years of age. Lush with earthy florals on the nose, crushed raspberry, blackberry, sweet ripe cherry, cedar spice, garrigue herb flavours on the palate and a lingering finish of white pepper spice. Great value under $20. Pair with a slow-braised beef brisket.

Food pairings: grilled lamb chops, rich pasta dishes, grilled pork chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied Rhone blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah, spicy, herbal aromas lead to a dark fruit and spicy palate. Medium acidity and medium tannins, with a dry, fruity finish. Decant for a couple of hours and serve with savoury dishes like pepperoni or Italian sausage pizza, or beef.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Grenache dominant with a 30% Syrah component. Thrilling nose with a broad bouquet. Look for red cherry, black cherry, plum, black pepper, mint, baking spice, and violet. Ripe and jammy fruits on the palate. Very accessible, easy drinking, and crowd pleasing. 15% ABV, but it drinks lighter than that. Very good value. Fire up the barbecue and start grilling chicken breasts, burgers, and vegetables to serve this red with.
Domaine Autrand 2017 is a great value Cotes du Rhone-Village under $16. A full-bodied red wine blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah with ripe raspberry, blackberry, ripe cherry, cedar spice, garrigue herb flavours finishing with pepper spice on the palate. Well balanced with food-friendly acidity. Pair with roast duck. - Community Wine Reviews
