Artesano De Argento Malbec Cabernet Franc 2021, Agrelo, Mendoza, Argentina: Artesano De Argento 2021 is a vegan-friendly Cabernet Franc and Malbec red wine blend produced from organically-grown grapes from the winery's vineyard in Alto Agrelo. Excellent value at $17, "Artesano" means artisan as is how this wine is made, but it's also a nod to the silver and leather handcrafting traditions of Argentina. Cerro Añon 2018, Rioja D.O.C.A., Spain: From Bodegas Olarra in the Rioja, Cerro Añon Reserva 2018 is a great value Tempranillo red wine blended with 20% Graciano and Mazuelo. Bodegas Olarra was created in 1973 and is located on the outskirts of Logroño in the Rioja Alta. The winery is known as "the Cathedral of La Rioja". The wine is deep ruby in the glass with sour cherry, cassis, fennel, bell pepper, dark chocolate and blood orange zest flavours zesty and lingering on the palate. Tannins are velvety. Southbrook Triomphe Pinot Noir 2021, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Southbrook Triomphe 2021 is a vegan-friendly Pinot Noir produced with organically grown grapes. A beautiful balanced and crafted PN, with bright cherry, raspberry, fine herbs and subtle spicy flavours fresh on the palate. Grapes were wild-fermented in an open-top oak fermenter then transferred to second-fill and neutral French oak barrels to rest for eight months. The wine is produced employing an ancient process of grape skin contact during fermentation for up to 14 days. This imparts greater flavour, colour and texture to white wines. This little treasure is dry, full-bodied and generous with ripe peach, apple, tropical fruit, lemon meringue, subtle oak spice and minerally flavours rich, rounded and fresh on the palate.
